Examination for certification Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT) is a training package with Red Hat Enterprise Linux System Administration (RH131). But can also be taken separately without taking training package. To take RH202 RHCT Exam should begin by taking training Red Hat Enterprise Linux Essentials (RH033) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux System Administration (RH131) as preparation for exams. One important aspect to be able to pass this test is real world experience as a Linux system administrator.
RHCT exam is divided into sessions and takes 1 / 2 days. The method used is a competency-based test, which candidates would be presented directly to the system in practice. Not using multiple choice questions or other theory.
RHCT exam sessions are as follows:
- Session I: Troubleshooting and System Maintenance (1 hour)
- Session II: Installation and Configuration (2 hours)
RHCT Exam graduation requirements are:
- Success completed all troubleshooting problems in the first session of
- Obtain the minimum value of 70% for Session II
Value and graduation status will be sent to participants within three working days after the exam.

Target participants will include knowledge RH202 follow below:
- You have to take multiple choice exercises Linux certification and wish to add perfomansi certify their results.
- You who have taken RH133 or RH253 take precedence RHCT certification
- You who have taken RH301 Red Hat Linux Rapid Track course which is not ready to take the RHCE, but believe they are ready to take RHCT
- Having experience as system administrators in Linux and Unix in the field of work about network configuration and security services
- Developers of the Linux environment and want to maintain their own systems mengmbangkan or hoping to get a better benefit to understand the practices and procedures of the system administrator
- You are working for the factory / enterprise application developers on Red Hat Linux
NOTE: A person who has had RHCE, is not advisable to take the RHCT for RHCT is part of the RHCT.
The duration of the test:
1/2 Day
RHCE certification exam is a package in the RHCE Rapid Track Course (RH300). But for those who have experienced and have the preparation can also take the exam only. Experience as a system administrator is required due to the competency-based examination system, and each participant will be confronted with a system where the participants will be responsible for the system.
Note: There is no theory test.
Test requirements with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5:
With Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, the certification exam consists of two parts and takes time for one day. The test was based on competence, meaning that candidates must perform skills in completing tasks and dealing directly with the system as a practice.
RHCE exam is divided into 2 sessions:
- Session I: Troubleshooting and System Maintenance (2.5 hours)
- Session II: Installation and Configuration (3 hours)
Graduation requirements for the RHCE exam is:
- Obtain the value of 80 or above on the sessions I, consisting of several issues that must be done and some problems that are not mandatory.
- Successfully complete all the issues that must be done in the first session of troubleshooting in the first 1 hour.
- Obtain a minimum value of 70% in session II.
Value and graduation status will be sent to participants within three working days after the exam.
Target Participants:
Target participants will include knowledge RH302 follow below:
- Participants who had taken the exam but have not managed to pass.
- Participants who have taken the Standard Track (RH033 , RH133 , RH253)
- Participants who had had the old version of RHCE but want to update to the version of the RHCE RHEL 5.
- PParticipants who already have experience of administrative systems as an expert in his field and wants to have proof of his ability.
- We recommend for the experienced system administrators who have experience on UNIX systems to take RH300 prior knowledge to make migration from UNIX to Linux.
Experienced System Administrator with operating systems like Windows NT, Windows 2000, and NetWare who are not experienced with Linux or Unix should take the Standard Track of RH035 , RH133 , RH253 before taking this exam.
