RHEL System Administration
For any Linux or UNIX users who want to have the ability to system administration on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, to a level where they can configure a workstation-workstation in the network, and master the basic concepts and techniques of administrative systems.
Objectives of training:
A system administrator, who can perform the tasks the system administrator to the level where they can perform the installation, configuration, providing system stability and network connectivity to the computer workstation.
Target participants:
The Linux or UNIX users, who already understand the basics of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, but want more to know more processes and knowledge to become a professional system administrator.
Requirements:
RH033 Red Hat Linux Essentials or equivalent experience with Red Hat Linux Essentials. To help you determine and find out what comparable experience you have, try to take the RH033 Pre-assessment Questionnaire.

What will be studied:
Install Red Hat Linux interactively and with Kickstart
General control system hardware
Create and maintain the Linux filesystem
Configuring an NFS (Network File System) client and autofs
Understand the system and installation
Running user and group administration
Integrating a computer network / workstation and run the network services
Configure a workstation as a client to NIS, LDAP, DNS and DHCP
Linux administrator system for printing subsystem
Automate tasks with at, cron, and anacron
Automation tasks with at, cron and anacron
Maintain and interpret system logs
Back up the file system to tape and tar archive applications
Install, update, query and modify software packages with RPM
Upgradekernel Linux via RPM
Configure the X Window System and GNOME desktop
Running basic performance, memory, and process management
Configure basic host security
Running basic troubleshooting
